ST. LOUIS – Getting rid of that mouse in the house has never been easier, or more mess-free. Long popular for treating mouse infestations in Europe, paste bait is now available in the U.S. Sweeney’s, an industry leader in developing innovative home pest control products, has introduced new No Mess Paste Bait, an easy, effective way of getting rid of mice without the hassle of traps or pellets.

No Mess Paste Baits contain rapid-action difethialone, the newest, most effective mouse poison on the market today. The poison is mixed into a moist, chewy paste formula with food grade ingredients that mice are highly attracted to. In Europe, this paste bait recipe has quickly become a leader in the market because it is so palatable to mice. Unlike typical mouse control pellets or blocks, this unique paste formulation contains no distasteful artificial waxes or paraffins. The paste is packaged in a plastic pack that allows mice to smell the bait and easily eat through the pack.

Using paste baits is easy. First, determine areas where mice will most likely find and consume bait. Generally, these are along walls, by gnawed openings, in corners and concealed places, between floors or walls in locations where rodents or their signs have been observed. Remove as much alternative food as possible. Then, simply place paste baits in the area – usually spaced 8 to 12 feet apart. Maintain a constant supply of fresh bait for 15 days or until signs of mouse activity cease. One paste pack is enough to kill three mice.

“Mice are attracted to this bait because it’s fresh, moist and chewy” says Clark. “However, it also contains Bitrex™, a bittering agent that deters children and pets from eating the paste.”
